Menaggio is on the Western shores of Lake Como, about 30 km North of Como, 26 km. East of Lugano (Switzerland). It is perfectly located in the Centre of the Lake. It is an ideal location to visit the other places on the Lake by boat or bus, and in less than an hour by bus you can reach Lugano (Switzerland).

The Hostel can be reached by train from Milano either to Varenna (then 15 minutes. by ferry to Menaggio, the Hostel is right above the ferry landing) or to Como (then one hour with the C10 bus stopping right under the hostel, last bus at 8.24 pm). Last ferry from Varenna is at 7.40 pm (to Menaggio) or 9.40 pm (to Cadenabbia, 3 km South of the Hostel). Or by train to Lugano, then one hour C12 bus (last bus at 6.40 pm). from the Cassarate Bus Stop (in front of the Lugano Lido).

Fly to Milan Malpensa, Linate or Bergamo (low cost airports) then by Train from Malpensa (change in Saronno, then catch the train to Como Lago, then C10 bus to Menaggio, see above), or by train from Bergano to Lecco, then to Varenna, then by ferry. From airports by train and bus it is approx 120 minutes, by car 90 minutes.
By car from Switzerland: Gotthard, Lugano, Italian border, 20 km to Menaggio.
By car from other regions in Italy: get off the autostrada A9 at Como Nord Exit, Menaggio is 30 km north of Como.
