Situated above the port with an amazing view, it is clean and has a friendly atmosphere. The staff are informative. The facilities include hot showers, guestkitchen, bed linen, cable tv, DVD, tourist information, maps,internet . If you would like to feel at home in Valparaíso, this is the place to stay.

The rooms are spacious and clean with storage space, and shared rooms comprised of 6-8 beds, and double beds available. There is a lovely living room that has the amazing views over the port where breakfast is served and the internet is available. There are 3 communal bathrooms, each with hot powerful showers for the six rooms. The kitchen is well equipped .

The hostal is located in the Cerro Alegre, behind the main plaza Sotomayor. It is easy to get to by taxi-buses from the bus terminal. It is less than 300m to the port, with beautiful views and an artisan market. Only a few blocks walk away is the supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. The night life here is lively, with a mix of discotheques, bars and pubs playing latino, pop and rock music.
The local delicacy without a doubt is marisco; fresh sea food.
