Really nice tropical resort type vibes with friendly and helpful staff- Will be coming back!

This place has the potential to be great- central location, friendly staff, the female dorms had a lounge/dining/kitchen area attached which made it a really social hangout. But the cleanliness aspect of the communal areas.....ouch! Grubby carpets, questionable showers- that much mould does not grow overnight. A couple of us were locked out when our key became desensitised, reception quickly fixed it.The rooms were above a nightclub, so bring your earplugs- thank god the beds were comfortable!

Definitely stay here. Thomas at the front desk is welcoming from the start and was very handy providing awesome reccomendations for tours at discounted prices. ^.^ Free pasta and rice is a nice touch that will have you comparing recipes in the kitchen. Join in on the nightly activities and make yourself some friends!! Clean and comfortable, just book it!!

I can definitely see how this is not for everyone- but I love love LOVED this hostel; quirks and all!! The tent was comfortable and the staff were the most welcoming I have ever met- it was an amazing community of travellers converging on a space and sharing their lives, stories and talents. I'll be back for sure!

Had a quick one night stopover in Auckland- was a perfect quiet and clean place. I found the lady at the desk (sorry I have forgotten your name) to be informative an helpful. Cheap and cheerful.
