Pretty sure my travel buddy would move in if she could. We loved this place. Atmosphere and facilities were great. Staff v welcoming. Free pasta night, pancakes, hot chocolate. Rooms clean and airy. Bathrooms plentiful and really nice - roomy with heaps of self space and privacy. Really nice neighbourhood with late night cookie shop around the corner. Beware - this hostel will raise your expectations to an unreasonably high level for your next hostel stay...
Sometimes, I wish I could move in here too! But, seriously though, thank you so much for your compliments to the team who make all of what you describe work so well here at the HighRoad Hostel DC. And, don't worry about the high expectations - you can always visit us in D.C.! -Miyuki and the entire team at the HighRoad Hostel DC

Stayed here for Jazz Fest and had a great time. Hostel is not too far from the where you want to be - an easy streetcar to Canal Street and the French Quarter. Rooms were lovely. Bar downstairs was good to hangout in. Only wish the kitchenette were a bit better equipped - only a fridge and microwave, and no sink which meant you could assemble meals but not cook, per se. That being said, free breakfast and the worlds strongest coffee were much appreciated. Would highly recommend.
we had so much fun during Jazz Fest and we're so glad you did too. Thanks for letting us know how things went and we hope we'll see you back next year! Best, Mac

Only stayed one night but thought the facilities and location were excellent. We had a 2230 train to New Orleans to catch and were very impressed that even after check out, they let us hang around and use the shower facilities (good to be as clean as possible before starting a 3 day train journey). We were very impressed and grateful.

We were almost sorry that there is so much to do in San Francisco that we didn't spend more time at the hostel. Really great facilities with lots of nooks and crannies for hanging out. Rooms were comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped. Free breakfast of bagels or porridge was much appreciated. Good location, right near cable car and some good nightlife. Would definitely stay again.

Really enjoy our stay here. The bar downstairs had a great atmosphere and the biggest beers we have ever come across. The kitchen and dining area on the top floor was actually our favourite hangout. Incredibly well equipped kitchen. Beds were really comfortable and private. Bathrooms clean with nice facilities. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend!
Thank you for staying with us and best comments! We are happy to hear you enjoyed staying here. We are welcoming you to come back next time.

Good little hostel. Nice and close to train station and supermarket. Bit of a walk to Peace Park but manageable. Bar downstairs was cozy and free welcome drink much appreciated. Beds comfortable and private. Kitchen small but well stocked/equipped. Staff were generally very friendly.

We REALLY enjoyed staying here. Located down a little alley, it was amazingly easy to find with the directions given by hostel. Downstairs cafe has a great atmosphere - cool music and great coffee. Beds were very private with lockable compartment at the head for valuables etc. Common room upstairs well designed with lots of seating, power points and well equipped kitchen. Bathrooms immaculately clean. Best of all were the staff who took us on Hanami party - Picnicking under the cherry blossoms!

Located in a great area - not far from the lake or the Old Quarter with lots of food options and walking distance from the main attractions. We stayed in a 14 person dorm - beds were super comfortable and very private. Only downside was that the locker doors were broken and so were able to be opened even when "locked". Breakfast was included and sufficient options available. Staff at front desk very obliging. Good little hostel.

We loved our stay at Venus Hotel. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. They even organised a transfer from the late train and midnight check in for us. Rooms were lovely, light and airy. Balcony overlooking the pool was a great spot to relax. Breakfast was both buffet and added a la carte. Loved the daily variations of Vietnamese noodles. Would highly recommend.

In a little alley off the main drag, this hostel is close to where you want to go but also provides a bit of a refuge from the occasional madness of Nha Trang tourists and traffic. Staff were amazingly helpful - always seeking to give recommendations for restaurants, activities and how to get around. Breakfast on the rooftop in the morning had lots of choices. We stayed in a 6 bed mixed. It was on the smaller side with no window but clean and cool - exactly what you need.

Great little hostel just a short walk away from the backpacker area (nice to have a little distance between us to be honest). Loved the design of the bar downstairs and the room - a huge window at one end let in lots of natural light while the beds curtained off to provide privacy. Breakfast in the mornings was included and delicious - pho and the like made a nice change from the usual white bread and jam combo.

Great hostel. Smaller than their sister hostel in Siem Reap but as you would expect for a bustling capital city. Hostel was clean and quiet. Staff were very helpful in organising tours, buses etc. The breakfasts were decent with nice fresh fruit and the noodles were delicious. Would recommend.

Two pools! There are two pools. One of which is on a rooftop. The lobby area was a nice place to relax and unwind after a day in the heat, exploring the temples. Rooms were spacious with beds designed to give privacy even in a dorm. Staff were super friendly and excellent at their jobs. Happy to help organise a tour. Close to the night market and pub street if that's your thing. Really excellent hostel. You'd be silly to stay anywhere else.

Really funky hostel in a nice area of Bangkok. A walk and ferry ride to a lot of the major attractions including Grand Palace and the Reclining Buddha but very manageable. Hostel has great atmosphere, comfortable beds in large room. Female only dorm we stayed in had no window but large skylight let in natural light. Bathrooms were excellent. Nice to have laundry facilities to do your own washing too. Breakfast was super cheap. Would highly recommend.

In the heart of Georgetown, little India and love lane on the doorstep. Hostel was nicely designed, clean and comfortable. Four bed room was on the smaller side but still plenty of room. Only downside was lack of window. Meant it was especially hard not to sleep in in the mornings. Staff were very accommodating. Lots of little nooks and alcoves to sit and chill which allowed for privacy whilst still being in the common areas and enjoying the atmosphere. Oh and breakfast goes til 12. Excellent.

A bit tricky to find from the street as there is no clear signage. No kitchen area but breakfast supplies all provided and offered takeaway sandwiches. Lobby area nice. Cubicle beds nice and spacious, offering some privacy even in a dorm room. Wifi super fast. Great place to kick off our holiday.
