Karoo Soul has a very apt name, with a wonderful relaxed atmosphere, spacious sunny garden and the kindest most helpful staff. It's within easy walking distance of the town centre but in a quiet street with a commanding position overlooking the surrounding scenery. I would definitely love to come back here for longer one day.

Zebra Crossing is a great place to relax with a lovely courtyard and common areas, and a quiet, peaceful vibe. The staff are wonderful - always friendly and willing to help with anything, and good for a chat about anything too. The hostel is just a couple of minutes walk from Kloof Street's bars and restaurants, and a short car ride away from almost all other places of interest in the city. I will definitely return here when next in Cape Town.

Wonderful guesthouse. I stayed 5 nights here and could easily have made that longer. The staff are fantastic, very caring and helpful, and all are good for a chat about almost anything. The place is really relaxing, with a peaceful garden and heaps of different spaces to spread out. It's located just next to a large park, and the centre of town is about a 10-15 minute walk on the park's other side. It's well worth staying several nights, especially as Bulawayo has several interesting sites.

Wonderful hostel. The location is superb, right in the centre of Shkoder but behind the hub of the main street, so it has a relaxing, quiet atmosphere. I met many amazing people here, both working/volunteering and passing through. There are lots of common areas, including a little bar, outdoor patio and garden. They also arranged all my tickets for the Valbona-Theth trip and made sure everyone had all information needed. I'd love to come back here and chill out for longer.

I had a great time staying here and will definitely come back for longer when I make it to Istanbul again. Mr Serhan (who I think is the manager) is awesome, so kind, attentive and helpful. The location couldn't be better as well, right on a street with many bars and restaurants (just pack some earplugs if you sleep light). You are also waking up within a few steps of the Topkapi Palace, Sultanahmet Mosque and Hagia Sophia. My room was like a small studio, excellent value for money.

I enjoyed my stay here. It's on a main road within easy walking distance to the old town, Wawel Hill and the Jewish districts. It seems like a good place to base yourself whether you like to be independent or if you like a more social atmosphere and meeting others. I would certainly stay here again.

The White Hostel is a fantastic place to stay. The location is excellent, in a quiet alley just a few minutes walk from the river, near many of the old town's main attractions and close to bus stops. The hostel's young owners are extremely helpful and friendly, with lots of great advice about transport, restaurants and sights. I enjoyed relaxing on the 2nd floor balcony, which has some lovely views of the old town. I'd love to come back here again very soon.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The young guy on the reception was extremely friendly and helpful, plus the location is excellent in a small alley near many great restaurants, the train and bus stations and the cable car to Tianmen Shan. My room was clean and comfortable, and I couldn't have wished for a better area to rest in. I hope I can return here some day.

I cannot recommend the Fuyulou Changdi Inn highly enough. This is a wonderful place to stay in a perfect location inside the main Tulou cultural village (the bus from Xiamen stops at the main gate to the village). Stephen and his family are so warm and caring, serving up delicious local foods, organising superb transport to other tulou villages, and giving lots of helpful advice and suggestions. I loved the peaceful ambience of the inn and the village, and my room was comfortable and modern.

I had a fantastic time staying at this hostel, mainly due to the very friendly and helpful staff who really made it feel like home. The location is unbeatable, right next to Baixa-Chiado metro station and the lively Chiado Square where there are always musicians playing and stalls selling drinks and snacks. My room was clean and comfortable, and the shared bathrooms were also very well maintained. I never had to wait to use a bathroom. I'd highly recommend this hostel and hope to come back.

This is an excellent place to stay in a very central location near the Mezquita and all the other key attractions of Cordoba's old towns. Many great restaurants are nearby too. The lovely lady who was on reception during my stay was extremely helpful and friendly, and I felt very much at home here. Also, the central courtyard of the hostel is pretty and quite atmospheric. I had a great stay here and hope to visit again some day.

I enjoyed my stay at Hostal El Cascabel, due to its fantastic central location on atmospheric Calle Elvira (where there are many bars, restaurants and shops), the small and comfortable room and the friendly staff. They have a nice kitchen/communal area for guests to use, and the place feels much like staying in a private home. I hope I have the chance to visit again some day.
thank you so much it lets feel us happy when guests feel like home! looking forward to host you again!

This is a comfortable hostel in a very convenient location just around the corner from the Cathedral and the Alcazar. As an added bonus, my dorm room balcony was lucky enough to look directly over the Semana Santa processions happening during Easter. The staff were always friendly and courteous. I spent most of my time out looking around Seville, but I was invited to several activities like free dinners. The room was busy, but peaceful and quiet. I'd happily come back again in the future.

This is a quiet hostel in a very central location. It is just in front of the fascinating Mercado de San Miguel and only a few minutes to many of the important sites in Madrid. The walls are thin, but it didn't bother me much during my stay. I would happily stay here again and look forward to returning one day.

This was an excellent place to stay. It's in a great location in a quiet street, only a few minutes walk from the metro and within easy distance of many amazing sites. The staff at the front desk were always enthusiastic and friendly, and I enjoyed the convivial atmosphere of the reception area. I'd easily recommend here to anyone visiting Guangzhou; in fact, it would be pretty easy to stay here for a long time :-)
Thanks Scott!! We couldn't thank enough for your support. Love!

This is a fantastic place to stay. My single room was clean, comfortable and excellent value, and the atmosphere is really good for meeting people and making friends. The staff at the reception were always kind and courteous about everything. It was a pleasure to stay here; it's just a pity I couldn't stay for longer. Go there - you will not be disappointed.

This is a wonderful and comfortable place to stay. I enjoyed meeting the rescued dogs that live with the owners here, and resting in the peaceful environment. It's located about 20 minutes walk away from the main beach, which is convenient but also ensures you have a good night's rest. The lovely staff there allowed me to use facilities during the day after I checked out. I'm hoping to return here and stay longer next time!

This is an excellent place to stay and I recommend it completely. It's great value for money, in a superb location within walking distance of everything you could want, the bed was comfortable and the staff were always kind and helpful. By the way, if you are really interested in multicultural history, you could spend a long time digging around the various treasures (not to mention all the wonderful food) in Penang. I'm looking forward to returning here some day soon.

I had a nice stay at this hostel. It's in a quiet street just one block from the famous pedestrian street Zhongyang Dajie, and near many useful bus stops. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were always efficient and helpful. I didn't stay in the common area much, but it looked like a great place to relax as well. I'd recommend here to stay when you visit Harbin (and you should visit, as Harbin is a beautiful and laid-back city).

I had a great stay in this new hostel right in the city center of Leshan. It's within walking distance to the river, many restaurants (including a great street food area and upmarket shopping center) and several bus stops. The staff were friendly and helpful and my room was completely spotless. It was a nice place to relax after a day of sightseeing around the town, and I hope I can visit again some day.

This is one of the best places I've stayed at during my travels in many countries. My private room was very clean and comfortable, the staff were always very kind, helpful and friendly, and the cook serves up some amazing local and western food here (I live in China and this food is better than many restaurants). There is a nice down-to-earth atmosphere in the place, with lots of people relaxing and playing games in the common area. It also has a fantastic location next to a metro station.
Thanks for your nice comments, we will do it better looking forward to see you again :)

This is one of the nicest places I have stayed in. The room was spacious and very clean, breakfast was delicious and varied each day, and the staff were always kind and attentive. I took an excellent 1-day tour around many of the sites near Ubud, run by the owner (I think it's the Kintamani-Volcano tour in the guidebook provided in your room), and he also dropped me off at my next hotel in Legian. It's near to a variety of great restaurants, cafes and sites. I highly recommend staying here!

This is a pleasant, nicely designed hostel right in the center of Fussen town. It's easy to walk to the train station, many restaurants and the mountains from here. The staff were very friendly and helpful (they gave great restaurant recommendations), and the room spotless. Check in is only at very specific times, but they will let you leave your luggage in the basement during the day. I had a good stay here and I'd certainly recommend it to others.

The Euro Youth Hostel is a good, clean place to stay. It's very near the train station, and a short walk to the monuments and buildings of the Old Town, museums and English Garden. I didn't eat here but they always seemed to have a buzzing bar and restaurant. I'd return here if I come back to Munich.

The staff at the hostel were extremely kind and helpful, and the place is clean and in a fairly quiet (new) location across the bridge from the old part of town. It seemed that they could arrange transpirt or tours to almost anywhere in the Anhui region, although I had already been to most places and didn't take advantage of this. I'd like to stay here foflonger in the future.
Thanks dear for the nice comments. Yes, we locate in a place which is very clean and fairly quiet acrrose the bridge from the famous old street. Hopefully you could stay longer with us in the future~~

I had a great time staying at Han Tang House. The staff were always obliging and helpful, and made me feel at home. The cafe / bar area is a nice place to have a drink and some great food. The hostel is also in an excellent location in a peaceful alley, near to many great restaurants, sights and the subway station. I'd love to come back in the future if I get the chance to visit Xi'an again.

I agree with the other travellers who said that this place is like a home away from home. I had probably the most welcoming introduction to a hostel from the wonderful staff here, and they were consistently friendly, helpful and easy to chat to. The room was spotless, the decor and furnishings were fascinating, the breakfast was superb, and the staff had lots of useful advice about the area and local transport. I wish I could have stayed longer, and highly recommend Homeros to everyone!

This is easily one of the best hostels I've stayed in! The staff here were awesome...really helpful and genuinely interested in making the most of your trip. The free meals were excellent, as was the common area which made it easy to meet lots of interesting people. The hostel is also in a quiet location very close to the town's fortress. Free internet use, very clean rooms, super-fast laundry and lots of travel advice from the staff capped it all off. Highly recommended!

This was a simple and pleasant place to stay. The staff were always cheerful and friendly, and the hostel is close to an interesting pedestrian/tram street with lots of nice restaurants and stores, plus the historic centre of town. It was quite difficult to find though, as the entrance is in a back street and not well sign-posted. I enjoyed my stay here though and would happily return if I'm in Sofia again.

Valentin's Rooms is in a quiet part of town, very close to the bus station, several supermarkets and about 10-15 minutes walk from the historic centre and the lake. Mr Valentin is very friendly and helpful; not only did he explain all of the sights in town, but also suggested trips further away and where to get different types of food. The room was excellent value for money and very comfortable. I'd certainly recommend here and hope I can return one day!

This hotel is a pleasant, if somehwat standard and basic, place to stay. The old building it's in is nice, and my room was a decent size. It got quite hot at night though, so I had to leave all the windows open and sleep with the noise from the street (not too bad). The shared bathrooms were clean. It's within walking distance to many of the sites in Thessaloniki, and if you don't like walking you can catch a bus from near the entrance. I'd recommend here if you are on a budget.

I had a really good time staying at the Fivos Hotel. The location is excellent, within close waling distance of all the major archaeological sites in Athens, and some interesting markets. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating, and they assisted me with numerous enquiries during my stay. My room was small and basic, but I thought the value-for-money was excellent; when you're traveling on your own you don't need much space anyway! I would certainly recommend this hotel.

The Palm Hostel is in an excellent location, just a minute walk from the old city and near to some good stores and restaurants. My room was very small and basic for the price, but I think that goes with the territory in Israel. They sold me an interesting day tour to Bethlehem and Jericho which I'd recommend if you have a larger group (it was quite expensive for fewer people). The breakfast was a nice start to the day too.

The Cliff Hotel is great, especially designed for travellers on a budget. The staff, particularly Andrew, were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help and give advice about Amman's attractions, restaurants and tours. I had some awesome chats to the staff here too. You also oculdn't ask for a better location, right in the middle of Amman's downtown area, with the King Hussein Mosque, Citadel, Roman Theatre and Rainbow Street all within easy walking distance. Highly recommended!

The Hanoi Lucky Guesthouse is an excellent place to stay! I really enjoyed my time here, mainly because of the awesome staff who did everything they could to make my trip memorable. Everyone was always so friendly and cheerful...thank you to all! I booked a great tour to Halong Bay plus my open tour bus from here, and these were all wonderful. The room was very spacious and clean, and coffee and tea were never far away. I'd love to return here one day and highly recommend it to others!

There was a nice mix of people staying here, and it was easy to interact with lots of travellers because of the spacious common area. My room was clean but basic. The shared bathrooms were also very clean. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The hostel is located in a small and quiet side street; it was nice being away from the main street but I didn't always appreciate the barking dogs nearby (not the hostel's fault, though). It's a pleasant place to stay.
