Housed in a former Christian church, Hangzhou YMCA International Youth Hostel is only 500 m from the scenic West Lake. It is located along the bustling Qingnian Road and features a sun terrace and free Wi-Fi in the rooms.
Guests can arrange sightseeing trips at the tour desk, or simply relax in the beautiful garden. Laundry and fax/photocopying services are available for guests’ convenience. Luggage storage is provided at the 24-hour front desk.
The rooms come with bright décor and European-style interiors. Each unit is fitted with wooden flooring and a writing desk. Guests get to choose between staying in lively shared rooms, or in a quite private room.
The hostel’s restaurant Lamour serves simple breakfast and lunch. Alternatively, there are many restaurants at Wushan Night Market, 200 m away.

IMPT: To other international guests, the hostel did not receive my reservation on Hostelworld. I turned up, there was vacancy so I paid in cash. The place is true to the photos, WiFi is good, bed was clean, good blackout curtains and lamp at bed. Location is excellent - near the line 1 metro, West Lake, shopping area, bars, the L'amour cafe in the building was amazing. Common areas are not very clean, so bring your own slippers, mug for hot water, toilet paper! I enjoyed sitting at the opendeck
