Our three story cottage is beautifully styled in traditional cultural Kashmiri Luxure. You will be our guests and our warm and friendly family will cater to all your accommodation and site seeing needs that you require.
We have three bedrooms available, each with their own luxurious ensuite and queen sized beds all located on the second floor. The dining area and lounge are located on the ground floor with the lounge including a TV and traditional Kashmiri seating.
Outside is a fresh green lawn fringed with flowers and small shrubs. Room enough to play a family game of cricket. The Himalayan Sun Cottage is indeed a wonderful place to stay and to experience the world renown Kashmiri hospitality.
Breakfast and evening meals will be supplied to your needs or in traditional Kashmiri cuisine all made in our home and we can assure you our family are sensational cooks.
House Rules:
Reception working hours: 24*7.
Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 12:00 to 22:00 .
Check out from 00:00 to 11:00 .
Payment upon arrival by cash.
Taxes included.
Breakfast included.
No curfew.
Non smoking.

Overall good experience ,
We felt charged bit more as kids were not mentioned while booking and hence policy guidelines stated before and at arrival .
Pros - Proximity to airport
Neat and clean room being home stay and breakfast served of choice and on time even at early hours.
Cons- Far from Dal lake as it is in residential area in Gulbahar Colony.
Bit costly as compared to budget hotels in Srinagar

My stay at Himalayan Sun Cottage
was the most memorable one in India. It was just amazing. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped .There was a nice, cozy garden outside where you can relax and have your meal. The dishes served to us was so yummy. Some of the best food we ever had! Its my 3rd visit to Kashmir and I have to say , this is one of the best accommodation I ever stayed. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Being a solo traveller I felt welcome and safe. The host was kind and friendly and the food the best I've eaten in Kashmir. My room was very clean, comfortable and overlooked the garden. I would recommend this place to others, its conveniently close to the airport and close to Srinagars tourist attractions. Definitely will stay here again.
