The Guest House is conveniently located very close to the Chuo station. There is free laundry, which is convenient, even if I didn't use it. The common room is quite nice, with two laptops available for guests. The staff was ok. The issue here is the cleanliness of the facilities. Not that it's really terrible, but not so proper either.

Great place to stay in Kagoshima as far as value for money. Bed is a little hard and not the cleanest place as Japanese standards go, but still a great place to just sleep for the night with everything you need, a small personal locker, little eating space, and bunk to sleep on for an extremely affordable price in a very convenient location within the city.

Nice atmosphere, great to have free washing machine and free bike rentals.
Some parts of the hostel are dusty: lockers, dryer, washing machine, fan grids.
Someone from the staff told me they don't have a mop for cleaning which sounds astonishing to me.
I wish they clean the male dormitory with water more often.
