Welcome to HI Nordegg Shunda Creek! Certainly one of Alberta's best-kept secrets, we are a favourite for hikers, mountain bikers and climbers. Located in the heart of David Thompson Country, this four-season destination provides the perfect setting for individuals, groups and families seeking exceptional recreation opportunities. This hostel features a large open-plan kitchen, dining and common room with a wood-burning fireplace We have power and full running water - hot showers and flush toilets! Prices include linen - NO SLEEPING BAGS PLEASE.

Loud! If you want to sleep- this is not for you. Kids running and slamming doors. I slept in my car and didn’t go back for my second night. Awful experience

Great space. Nice and cozy shared living room, kitchen is very well stocked, rooms and blankets are very warm. The location is great, being so close to the trails in Nordegg and Abraham Lake. The beds were pretty comfortable, just got a bit hot at night since the blankets provided are VERY warm! I looked at the place via Google maps for a better view and it shows a hot tub. There is no hot tub any longer. Also note the sauna is in a different building from the main house.
