L\'ostello Copenhagen Downtown è stato giudicato il migliore ostello di Danimarca agli Hoscar Awards del 2012, 2014 e 2015: ed è facile capirne il motivo. We also pride ourselves with winning the Hoscar awards in 2012, 2014, and 2015 for being the best hostel in Denmark and 2016, 2017 and 2020 for being the most popular Hostel in Copenhagen. We thank every single guest and we promise to keep it up.
Our award-winning hostel has a 24-hour reception, a spacious party lounge and bar open until 5 am every single night. We also have an edgy venue for live music and parties along with daily events such as beer pong, cocktail night, solo travelers night and much more. Our lovely Downunder bar is also newly refurbished with the cosy cinema and chill out area, perfect for relaxing and meeting your fellow travellers. We also have welcoming outdoor area overlooking the street.
We have one of the cheapest bars in town, located right here in our lounge area and offering a great value Happy Hour every night.
We also have laundry facilities (for a small fee), free Wi-Fi & a small kitchenette where you can store your and heat your food.
We are centrally located in Copenhagen's historic old town, with the district dating back centuries but only one minute to the main shopping district. Our location is outstanding for local hotspots, with it's bustling nightlife, the longest pedestrianized shopping street in the world, fusion restaurants, the famous Tivoli Gardens, and the harbor beach. If you'd like some more culture, we are just next to Denmark's best museums, galleries, and theatres.
Our location means we have all public transport links on our doorstep; you are within easy reach of everything that the city and the rest of Denmark have to offer.
We offer a cozy yet cool atmosphere, proudly showing a Scandinavian retro design and a friendly, relaxed vibe. Our trendy lounge provides the ideal surroundings to party, enjoy a cold beer or socialize and meet other guests. Our bar offers breakfast for an unbeatable price and tempting foods during the rest of the day.
We also have Free Walking tours 3 days a week.It's so easy when the tour picks up right here in the lounge! You can take the morning tour at 10.40 right are breakfast!
We have 83 rooms, to suit every budget. There are private rooms for single, twin or double occupancy or shared dormitories for 4-to-12 people plus female-only dorms and our new capsules!
All of our private rooms feature ensuite bathrooms and all dorms have shared bathrooms that are newly renovated. All rooms have individual power sockets, personal reading lights, and mirrors, and most dorms have sinks and hairdryers. You are welcome to use the dedicated lockers under your bed, all dorms have them - you can bring a padlock or buy one in reception. Before and after check-in and out you can rent large lockers in our luggage room (small fee)
All private rooms overlook the Vandkunsten square with a water fountain from 1910, an urban gem.

It was a wonderful experience that I suggest to anyone. The people are amazing and you will meet lot of new friends. All the staff is really kind and the bar is a really good place to have fun

L'ostello è in un'ottima posizione. La sala comune è meravigliosa e le camere sono pulite e con gli armadietti di sicurezza. Peccato però che non ci sia una vera e propria cucina e che il bagno sia senza porta e decisamente molto scomodo e piccolo. Come rapporto qualità prezzo mi sarei aspettata di meglio, ma essendo a Copenhagen non mi posso lamentare.

I think what puts us ahead of the rest is that we're the real backpackers' in town, made by travellers for travellers. We want you to experience the real Denmark, its people, its humor and its personality. I believe that this place is the expression of a hostel how should be all around the world - full of magic, activities, livable common areas and crazy people that give this place an enjoyable and fun atmosphere.
The common area features a Scandinavian retro design with recycled wooden floors from old Copenhagen apartments used for the tables and benches, plus a lot of bright colors, wall maps, and other design features to make the area warm and welcoming.
There's lots to do in this area but I definitely recommend visitng Christiania - the Freetown - a unique place occupied/squatted in 1971 and now a community, where people live and chill out. Furthermore, the place has grown with bars, cafés, restaurants, concert places, art and has its own very peculiar atmosphere.
If noticed in advance, we can provide all kinds of food/drinks for special needs, such as gluten-free bread. Lactose free milk (soya drink) is always in stock.
