Philadelphia's most popular hostel, located on a quiet street in the heart of Old City. Less than 50 meters from Independence National Historical Park, home of the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, and less than 1 mile from the Pennsylvania Convention Center, this international hostel has great amenities such as free wireless internet, free internet computers, free Xbox One games, free billiards table, lounge, piano and fully equipped kitchen.

COVID-19 update: We have hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizing spray at your disposal. We're following all municipal, state and federal guidelines. We're the only hostel in Center City Philadelphia with a large enough lounge, kitchen and dining area to be able to observe social distancing and still make use of all our amazing amenities.

Each bed has its own reading light, two electrical outlets and USB charging ports. There is central air conditioning throughout the building, as well as on-site laundry facilities and free luggage storage.

Meet fellow travelers each evening while enjoying free drinks Thursday through Tuesday evenings, or a free pasta dinner on Wednesdays. The hostel also provides 24 hours free tea and coffee as well as cappuccinos for $1.

This is the only hostel in downtown Philadelphia that meets or exceeds Hostelling International’s standards, the only one with laundry facilities and the only hostel whose common space consists of more than just one couch.

Please note:

We are chartered as a resource for students and foreign travelers. Due to our limited amount of space, we require that upon check-in each guest must provide a valid foreign passport. US residents must present government-issued ID showing that you live outside a 75-mile radius of Philadelphia.

You must be 18 years of age or older unless accompanied by a parent or a school-appointed chaperone. Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in our dorm rooms, no exceptions.

There is a 14-day maximum stay for all of our guests.

We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay and debit cards.

It should also be noted that you are not viewing the Apple Hostels website, but that of a booking agency.

Men are not permitted in the mixed dorm room unless traveling with women. Women are always permitted in the mixed dorm room.

State and municipal hotel tax totaling 15.5% for private rooms and 8% for dorm beds is not included in the price.

Please note: Check-in from 4pm to 6am. However, you can arrive as early as you like and use all of our facilities including free luggage storage.
