Instant sleep is an independent hostel in Hamburg with its own and a little unconventional style, located in the quarter 'Sternschanze'. Since 1999 we welcome guests from all over the world.
Enjoy our relaxed atmosphere: about 50 persons can stay in the beds of our eleven differently designed rooms. So we are a good address especially for people travelling on their own or in small groups and looking for room to sleep.
We are a classic backpacker hostel: with colourful, but simple rooms, a well equipped kitchen and communal bathrooms on the corridor. The hostel's heart is our lounge: here you can relax and meet other guests.
Do you want to be able to cook your own meals? And have good conversation with your fellow travellers? You've come to the right place!
There's a communal room where you can eat, drink and play games with others. We don't provide breakfast but you're welcome to cook in our fully-equipped kitchen.
We have free coffee and tea!
There's two bars below the hostel so it can get pretty lively around here, but there's no curfew!

There was no bar or meeting point, nor happy hours or any events.
The room was ok but there was no space where to lock the bags, just a small locker.
It was quiet far the city center and the main station, but near St. Pauli, so perfect for nights out.
The Bathroom are commons but not mixed. Same as the shower.
The kitchen was big and you can rent the towel for 1€ day
The laudry is from 3pm and you need to give your stuff to them and they'll let you find it on the drying rack on the hallway.

The place is located close to the public transportation and the person running it is nice. However, the place is quite dirty and noisy, there are no proper lockers (only tiny ones and not for everybody). The beds and the pillows are very uncomfortable, we were in a 8-bed room and the last beds are very high on the top. In the bathroom the shower does not flush continuously but you have to keep pushing it in order to get water. WiFi did not work either in our room. Not worth the price

Ho soggiornato due notti in questo ostello. Ho prenotato un letto in dormitorio misto, camera pulita, l'unica pecca è che la reception apre alle 15 e prima non si trova nessuno, io sono arrivata alle 13:30 ed ho dovuto aspettare nella sala comune (che è molto bello) però avrei voluto lasciare le valige in camera prima...
Poi ho avuto problemi per la lavatrice perché potevo farla solo alle 15...
