The staff seemed friendly at first, but were very quick to act up. We had our laundry done, which was not properly cleaned and when we very nicely asked if it could be cleaned again or find another solution the host Carlos took it as an insult and started slamming the doors and giving us a real attitude. The next day he completely ignored us, and the staff did not want to help us get a taxi into town. Carlos also watches tv very loudly at night that you can hear when you’re trying to sleep.

Agartha that has one of the most welcoming hostel environments that I have experienced. Carlos is a wonderful host and will go out of his way to make your stay the best it can be. It has a quaint and homely atmosphere. I came here as a solo for 2 nights/3 days and in that time I had made some great connections and friendships with other travelers. It was a stay that I won’t soon forget and if I come into Boquete again I would surely take my stay here.
