Abode Backpackers Hostel

Located in Madikeri and with Madikeri Fort reachable within 1.6 km, ABODE Backpacker's Hostel provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. Raja Seat is 1.9 km away and Abbi Falls is 7.4 km from the hostel.

Every room & Dorm has a private bathroom. The dorms will provide guests with a shared bathroom within the dorm.

The hostel features certain units that include city views, and every room is fitted with a private bathroom with a shower. All units have bed linen. The nearest airport is Kannur International Airport, 87 km from ABODE Backpacker's Hostel.

Policies
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT POLICY
- Standard Check-In time is 12.00 noon
- Standard Check-Out time is 11.00 AM
- Early Check-In and Late Check-Out are subject to availability and discretion of the property.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- All guests must be of at least 18 years of age to be able to check-in at the Hostel.

- As per Indian Government update, 12% GST will be charged on the total booking price, and has to be paid at the time of check-in.

- It is mandatory for guests to present valid photo identification at the time of check-in. According to Government regulations, a valid Photo ID has to be carried by every person staying at the hostel.

- The identification proofs accepted are Passport, Aadhar Card, Driving License and Voter ID card. PAN Card is not accepted as a valid ID Card. Guests with Local IDs will not be allowed admission. We accept only passport as proof for Non-Indian travellers.

- Abode hostel suits backpackers, travellers, bikers and young tourists and hence we do not recommend families to stay with us.

- Advance taken at the time of reservations is strictly non-refundable.

- Prepayment is mandatory at the property during Check-In

- Non-resident guests are not allowed inside the hostel. In case you want to invite someone, you can meet them in the reception area.

- In case of 3 or 4 people travelling together, please note that we do not guarantee accommodation in the same dorm room.

- Guest are responsible for their own personal belongings.

- Pets are not allowed.

- Any action by a guest be deemed inappropriate by the Hostel, or if any brought to the notice of the hostel, the management reserves the right to ask the guest to leave the property immediately without any refund.

- Right to admission is reserved.

- Certain polices are booking specific and they are notified at the time of booking.

BOOKING EXTENSION POLICY
- Extension of the stay would be provided on current room rates and are subject to availability.

- Current room rates may be different from the rates at which the rooms were booked.

CANCELLATION POLICY
-The advance taken at the time of reservation is always non-refundable. (Unless specified as refundable)

- Pre-payment of the balance amount is necessary at the time of check-in. We have a 3 day cancellation policy (i.e. 72 hours from the standard check-in time 12.30 noon). Your pre-payment of balance is eligible for a refund only if we are informed 72 hours in advance. Failure to inform us within this time will result in cancellation charges of 100%.
-All bookings made for 15th December to 15th January are non-refundable

GROUP POLICY
- Before proceeding with a group booking, please note Abode hostel DOES NOT ALLOW: Group stays beyond 8 people (even if the bookings are made in multiple instalments, through any booking platform).

- In case of a group of 4 or more, sometimes you would be purposefully allotted different dorm rooms.

- If the group behaviour is deemed unfit at the property, the Abode hostel Property Manager, upon subjective evaluation, retains the full right to take required action which may also result in an on-spot cancellation without refunds.

- Any group bookings which has not been authorised in advance, or has been made by several individuals/ separate bookings to make it appear as though it is not a group can be cancelled or denied at any time in advance or on arrival or even after check-in.

- Abode hostel reserves the right to admission.

QUIET HOURS (10:00 pm to 8:00 am)

Dorm rooms
-Keep the lights shut after 10.00 pm in order to prevent inconvenience to others. You may use the reading lamps after that.
-Please keep your phones on silent inside the dorm rooms.
-Please pack your bags the night before, if you?re leaving early.
Common areas
-After 10.00 pm no music shall be played in common hall.
-After 10.00 pm no loud music shall be played in outdoor area.
-Please keep the common areas clean.

BEDS AND DORMS
- Allocation of all dorm beds booked on the website or OTAs shall be based on first available bed in the first occupied dorm, unless the entire dorm is booked by an individual.
-Allocation of all beds, upper or lower will be done on first come, first serve basis.
-All dorms are having good ventilation.

LIQUOR DRINKING
-Liquor drinking is strictly prohibited during hours (12:00 am to 8:00 am).
-Consumption of liquor is only allowed in designated areas.

DAMAGE OR LOSS OF PROPERTY
-Abode Hostels takes no responsibility of any loss or damage of property. Every individual is responsible for his or her own belonging
-Abode Hostels has all rights to charge the appropriate amount, as fixed by the management, to any guest who causes any damage of property at the hostel. This includes damage to linens, puking, etc.

SAFETY
- The safety and security of our in-house guests are of at most priority to us. So do respect and follow the hostel policies & rules.

DRUGS
-Abode hostels have zero tolerance policy regarding the use of illegal drugs. Any guest found using drugs within the premises will be asked to leave Abode hostels. No refund will be given in such circumstance.
