Palm Tree Lodge & Backpackers is Paihia's largest budget accomodation complex, given a full overhaul and renovation in 2024!
Offering a range of spacious mixed or female only dorm rooms, private rooms, studios and apartments. Guests have access to our on-site pool area, large communal courtyard, BBQ, communal kitchen/lounge. Free WIFI is available throughout the site and complimentary parking is available on a first come basis. See our staff team for a range of local activities and tours in the stunning Bay of Islands! Please note this is an 18 + site, children are not currently permitted. Contact us for further information and regarding potential group bookings.
Please note a valid passport ID is required for checking into rooms.
Arriving after hours is not a problem - please advise and we will leave a check-in in our after hours arrivals box.
For standard bookings- Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the amount of their first night's stay.

The staff never appeared, i never knew who was one of them for ask some things.
Is a chill hostel (not for social meetings or activities) and if you dont talk french people here don't talk with you 😅

Loved this hostel! Clean, friendly staff and good location. Could do with slightly more social areas, but kitchen and TV room were both nice, along with a lovely pool! Would highly recommend for the price

Missing a common space that we can enjoy at anytime ! The kitchen, the patio and tv room closes for the night, so if you want to chill with friends or by yourself you can't ....
I would also add some reading lamps to each bed because the it's annoying to have to wake up the entire room if you need light.
Otherwise, very nice hostle, well located and the kitchen has good equipement.
