There are generally three things travellers look for in accommodation; great location, friendly service and comfort. Palmers Lodge nails all three. Situated right in the centre of the city, it’s close to all the city’s cultural attractions, restaurants and bars (the latter especially important considering the hostel’s raucous pub crawls). Not only that, but they also arrange day trips the gorgeous Plitvice Lakes. In the hostel itself the beds are comfy and each is supplied with its own reading lamp and power point. There’s free WiFi for all and ensuite kitchenettes for those booking into the deluxe privates.

Offering rooms and dormitories with reading lamps and power plugs for each bed, the Palmers Lodge Hostel is set in the historic centre of Zagreb, just 15 minutes' walk from the central Bana Jela?i?a Square. Main Train Station is just 300 m or 1 tram stop away.
Free Wi-Fi is provided in the common areas of the hostel. All rooms and dormitories are air-conditioned and come with parquet floors. The upper floor rooms are accessible via stairs only.
Number of restaurants is easily accessible in the city centre. During the summer season, owners can organise day trips to Plitvice Lakes, pub crawls in Zagreb and similar activities.
There is a tram stop right in front of the Palmers Lodge Hostel. Main Bus Station is only 3 stops away, and it also offers shuttle service to and from Zagreb Airport.
Several museums and other cultural institutions can be reached in a 10-minute walk. Zagreb Cathedral and the vibrant Ilica promenade street are within 1.3 km from the hostel.

As soon as we entered the room we could smell mold coming from the walls. The floor by one of the beds was covered in dust and trash. While that shouldn't have been left there by the previous guests in the first place, we believe it was also the hostel's responsibility to clean it up before our arrival, instead of leaving it there just because it was hidden enough. The shower has no curtain, which makes it impossible not to basically flood the bathroom floor while taking a shower.

My room was noisy (from the outside) and it was like a basement, with a super tiny window next to the ceiling.. but the beds were super comfortable and there was a lot of space to put the bag on safe. A bit empty last August
