Matilori is surrounded by two mango trees and the amazing Costa Rica wildlife where you can see iguanas, monkeys and hummingbirds. In the 2 community kitchens you'll find everything you need, even free cafe in the morning. Since last year we also have a sofa lodge with TV, books, games and an outside BBQ. Its easy to get social and meet other travelers by participation in game nights, community BBQ's or by joining one of the various hostel tours to explore the surrounding areas.

We have 3 double rooms, 1 four-bed dorm and 1 six-bed dorm, all with shared bathroom and hot shower. The bright and friendly rooms are all well equipped with fans, cupboards and lockers.

Ottima atmosfera e personale molto informale, mi hanno insegnato anche un gioco di carte,abbiamo mangiato insieme, si sta tranquilli, bello!

Absolutely amazing stay! Matilori felt like family as soon as I arrived. It's located 1 min walk from the bus stop, supermarkets, shops and the beach. Bathrooms and rooms are very clean and they have two well equipped kitchens. The best part is the common area outside, where you can chill in the hammock and listen to good music. The staff was always around and they really make you feel at home, they are relaxed, open minded and fun people with who I had a great time. Totally recommended

Great hostel overall. Nice people/staff, great location and artsy graphics everywhere. Only complaint is the beds; felt like the mattress was from 1998. Spring were just about to pop through the thing.
